Privacy notice

Your information, in plain words

What the campaign collects, why, how long we keep it, and how to have it deleted.

What we collect

Only what you give us:

  • your name and phone number;
  • your constituency (and region);
  • messages you send us, for example on WhatsApp or through a form on this site;
  • donation records, if you give to the campaign.

Why we collect it

To send you the campaign's information, to answer your messages, to organise campaign visits in your region, and to keep a proper record of donations. We do not sell or give your information to anyone outside the campaign.

How long we keep it

The delegate register and any pledge information are deleted 30 days after the NDC National Congress (19 December 2026). After that we keep only overall counts, such as how many delegates registered in a region, which do not identify anyone.

Text messages (SMS)

We send SMS only to numbers that have opted in, only between 08:00 and 19:00, Monday to Saturday. Reply STOP at any time and we will not text you again.

What we will never publish

We never publish a delegate's phone number or how a delegate has pledged. Endorsements appear on this site only when the person has given consent and that consent is on record.

Opting out and deleting your data

You can ask us at any time to stop contacting you, to show you what we hold about you, or to delete it.

Contact the campaign through any of its official channels listed on the standards page.

We act on deletion requests as soon as we can and confirm when it is done.

The law

The campaign handles personal data under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), and is registering with the Data Protection Commission. You have the right to complain to the Data Protection Commission if you believe your data has been mishandled.
